Artisan Trunk Show
Before Hope With I.A.N. was officially a nonprofit, our journey began with a beautiful act of love and
community. On May 29th, friends gathered at Cordant Winery in Paso Robles for an Artisan Trunk
Show organized by dear friends Bobbi Matuk, Diane Owens, and Evan Taylor of Cordant Winery.
The event showcased handcrafted jewelry, wearable art, and nature-inspired creations from local
artisans Sonnìe Owens Jewelry and Couleur de la Vie. A percentage of all art and wine sales was
generously donated to support the Strain family as they worked to turn unimaginable loss into purpose.
This event marked the very first fundraiser for what would soon become Hope With I.A.N. (Inner
Awareness Now). Guests came together to honor Ian’s legacy and to support the initial research and
vision for bringing better mental-health solutions to San Luis Obispo County—resources that were, and
still are, greatly needed in our community.
The Artisan Trunk Show will always be remembered as the moment when compassion, creativity, and
community joined together to light the path forward. It was the spark that helped transform grief into
action and planted the seeds for everything Hope With I.A.N. is doing today.
